my body isn't warm even when i'm in the sun
oh what a good man i swear i'll become
even though i'm not a christian i will love everyone
with the blood of the lamb we shall overcome
i am constantly breaking but then so is the sun
i am tired when waking i can see the light come
i love what i am i will love like the sun
yea it's fine if i'm sad it don't define my whole sum
yea it's fine if i'm sad it don't mean that i'm done
it's fine if i'm sad cause i'm warm like sun

we had some trouble at the airport
you called to see if i had got home safely
i was fine and you moved on so quickly
you’d always thought that you were royalty
i had some trouble when we landed
it felt too closely to a movie scene
went home and never talked about it
but sometimes it will come back to me

set a reminder to remind me
about something Claire said probably
or was it to see if Yap could come hang out?
i won't be sure 'til it's in front of me
it isn't turning out quite like i planned it
but i don't mind time at the library
with all this love i plan to carry
i promise to speak honestly
i promise to speak honestly
i love this life in its entirety

our last conversation
was pretty much about the trees
i heard that after graduation
you got a job and headed oversees
is it winter where you are now?
are you as happy as you used to be?
i know you loved fall in our hometown
but here they've barely began to lose their leaves
