your parents are sat in the car they wondering what is the matter and they are eating sweets and reading the wrappers and there is no one else around the shale as grey as the weather and you are crouching on the ground for what seems like forever and i'm sorry for running away but they will be playing his records all day and you turn to me baby and say: "we can run on this beach for as long you need to if that's what helps we can kick every pebble into the sea til there's nothing left if that's what helps you deal with his death but are you sure there's nothing else making you upset?" to take the ferry harbour-bound i guess that's where we were headed with nonchalance it was announced i guess it took me a second and i am sprinting on the sand like there's a thing i've forgotten and i am windmilling my arms guess it's a thing i do often and i'm sorry for running away but they will be playing his records all day and you turn to me baby and say: "we can run on this beach for as long you need to if that's what helps we can kick every pebble into the sea til there's nothing left if that's what helps you deal with his death but are you sure there's nothing else making you upset?" "we can talk about it, we can do whatever you need baby my parents are happy just reading the wrappers, and i love you"

about

If I remember correctly, my first encounter with Trust Fund came on April 6, 2015, the result of a blog post by Heartbreaking Bravery. Trust Fund very quickly became an important part of my life. I was getting ready to leave long island for st. louis, and had just begun writing my own songs, uploading terrible demos to a bandcamp no one will ever find. Ellis' music and mentality, that of bringing friends together and singing about hope, regardless of what weird stuff we're encountering along the way, assured me that I already had everything I needed to achieved what I aspired to.

I am forever in debt to Ellis and Trust Fund, for allowing me to put out their penultimate album on my label, for inspiring me to write, and most importantly, for reminding me that the music doesn't matter, what matters is loving the people you make it with.

When asked how an apc song is written, I'll often respond that they're all just attempts at Trust Fund songs gone horribly wrong. So I guess here is one that, by nature, had to go right.
